VISION
My vision is to grow healthy missional pastors, churches and denominations. I do this through pastoral supervision, church consultancy, training/lecturing, and writing.
My Story
Dr. Ian Duncum is an accredited cross-denominational church and non-profit consultant dedicated to assisting leaders address challenges and optimise growth. He consults with denominations, and has written a blog series on building a denominational ecosystem for church health.
Ian provides training and adjunct lecturing across most areas of leadership and practical/pastoral ministry. This includes governance, mentoring, vision, transition/change management and conflict management.
Ian provides pastoral supervision to create a supportive environment for ministers and church leaders to reflect on and hone their practice of ministry and personal growth. He is accredited with AAOS and multiple denominations.
Ian currently has roles with Arrow Leadership, Regent College, Vancouver and SMBC. He was formerly General Manager of AAOS, Church Health/Planting Leader for Churches of Christ NSW/ACT, Supervisor/Trainer for NSW/ACT Baptists Church Consultancy Team, and a Postgraduate Researcher with NCLS Research.
With over 30 years of experience as an accredited minister, Ian has revitalised churches, notably transforming one that had seen a 37-year decline into a thriving community of 160 attendees within five years. He is passionate about church vitality and the positive impact of churches on their communities, reflected in his doctoral research published as The Impact of Church Consultancy (Wipf & Stock, 2019).
Ian is married to Joanne, a speech pathologist, and enjoys good coffee, 4WD adventures, reading, and renovating in his free time.
